A native of Bucks County, Joe Hare’s passion for the land began in the field. Growing up immersed in his family’s construction and tree service businesses, he developed a foundational understanding of the local landscape long before formalizing his expertise.

Joe went on to graduate from Delaware Valley University with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Environmental Design. After years of honing his craft and building a loyal client base at several premier landscape firms, he founded Foliage Landscape + Design in 2013. His goal was simple: to offer homeowners in the greater Bucks County and Princeton areas a boutique, highly personalized design experience.

Whether he is drafting a curated planting list for a cozy corner or master-planning a sprawling outdoor living space, Joe’s approach is defined by being "consistently thoughtful." While his personal aesthetic is rooted in native plants and vernacular design, he thrives on the unique challenges each new property presents.
